The DFD is Looking for You The Dansville Volunteer Fire Department is actively seeking local firefighters and emergency medical technicians. Basic Requirements Getting started with the DFD is easy ... - At least 18 years of age
- No training required for new members
- Complete application to include full criminal background check
- Completion of basic orientation training, including CPR, Infection Control and basic fire training after membership approved
- Completion of Firefighter I or Scene Support Operations within 12 months of membership
- Attendance at monthly meetings and occasional special events
